FREE LENNO REMIX OF CHROMEO’S ‘JEALOUS’

Lenno is back with the second in his Free Track Tuesday [#FTT] series, this time round dishing up a stunning take on Chromeo’s hit single ‘Jealous’, available now for fans to download from his SoundCloud account.

The 19-year-old from Finland – whose previous free remix of Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ did the international rounds to critical acclaim just a few weeks ago – proves he’s on fire yet again, sinking the original cut into even deeper shades of nu-disco, underpinning the vocal with lush, evocative sweeps, rising keyboard and string stabs and those delicate, elegant touches that are rapidly becoming his signature trademark.

A fan of Chromeo “for ages”, Lenno said ‘Jealous’ had been “pretty much the song of the year so far.” Speaking from his home studio in Espoo, Finland, Lenno went on, “Doing this remix was a lot of fun. I wanted to make a version that I could play out at clubs while still keeping the disco vibes and the awesome chorus from the original.” The proof is definitely in the pudding, with yet again another slick, light and thoroughly effervescent offering from the young Fin that true to his word, absolutely celebrates that killer vocal line and disco feel.

For those who haven’t already got their hands on Lenno’s ‘Happy’ remix – which Do Androids Dance called “next level”, Dancing Astronaut marked out as “aŠ remix of the highest caliber” and which Lenno himself noted was “like a Prince song produced by Rustie on acid” – you can still grab it here:
