June 14th sees a brand new track land from Flamingo Recordings co-founder and house DJ/producer Funkerman. Having hit the dance scene back in 2007 with ‘Speed Up,’ which was signed by Defected Records and saw widespread success, Funkerman makes a bold summer statement with this latest record.
Again collaborating with vocalist I-Fan, a runner up on The Voice Of Holland a few years back, the duo presents ‘Silence.’ It is to be the first single from his upcoming album project, due out for release later this year.
Deliciously infectious and primed for the sunshine, ‘Silence’ gets you going with a crisp, toe-tapping beat and snappy drums. The pitched tones of I-Fan raise the energy levels, taking this “hands in the air” anthem forward with melodic flourish.
Funkerman says of the single: “Silence’ is so symbolic for my life at the moment. I’ve appeared really silent but I in reality I was crafting this album, which is my most personal work ever.”
