Spanish trio Gmaeboyz return to Biologic Records in May with ‘Everybody’ including remixes from Remote and Bozzwell.
Alongside label bosses Abstraxion and DC Salas the London, Marseille and Brusels based label Biologic Records plays home to names such as Morgan Hammer, Zombies In Miami and for their second release on the imprint, Gameboyz.
The Badajoz-based production team of Luis Vallespin (The Modernphase), Manuel Maidero (Da’ Well) and Carlos Franco (Xar Lee) have marked releases on La Belle Records, Clouded Visions, Electrique Music and Melomana Records.
The original EP ‘Everybody’ is a crunchy down tempo track, with tumbling drum rhythms and distorted synth arrangements all worked around a freaky robotic vocal. Similarly ‘Ritmo Latino’ gets into things with a deeper and twisted vocal laced over mechanical clamours and broken drum patterns.
Eric Guillanton and Seb Fouble step up for remix duties as the French musical duo Remote. For ‘Ritmo Latino’ they swap out the vocal for crunchy distorted synth licks to give it some electro-tinged power. With previous releases on Throne Of Blood, Society Recordings and Firm, Bozzwell reimagines ‘Everybody’ with a 303 acid line amongst whirring atmospherics.
Gameboyz ‘Everybody’ is out on Biologic Records 5th May 2014.
