Following on from Joe Goddard’s disco-infused remix of Busy P’s ‘Genie’, comes another one of electronic music’s finest – KDA – to give his take on the original. Premiered via Mixmag, the KDA remix switches it up for chopped vocal cuts and a Baltimore club inspired percussion creating a perfect remix for the club.
Almost 2 years after his last release on the label with ‘Gipsy Life’, ‘Genie’ marks Busy P’s 6th release on and return to Ed Banger records. Recorded between Threesome Studio in Paris and Mayer’s studio in LA, the groove laden and infectious love song sees Busy P partner up with long-time friend, Mayer Hawthorne.
This April, Ed Banger are crowned the “Label of The Month” instore at Rough Trade where there will be 10 Exclusive Ed Banger Reissue’s available. On the 16th May, Busy P will make a special appearance at the store to host a ‘Pinball Championship’ and to play an exclusive DJ set.
