GENRE BLENDING DJ & PRODUCER [IVY] RELEASES NEW SINGLE
‘LOOKING 4 ME’
Today, Bristol based DJ & producer [IVY] has unveiled her new single ‘looking 4 me.
Combining distorted vocal samples and pounding percussion, ‘looking 4 me’ showcases [IVY]’s signature style, effortlessly blending DnB, house, 4×4 and techno. Speaking about the track [IVY] says: ‘I have a passion for genre merging and “looking 4 me” is the perfect marriage between techno & drum and bass. I love how this song embodies female empowerment while bringing a sassier side to the drum and bass world’.
The release follows recent single ‘Close To Me’ which was supported by DnB heavyweights including Noisia, Danny Byrd, Harriet Jaxxon, Drumsound and Doc Scott. After being named one of legendary imprint UKF’s “Ones To Watch” in 2021, [IVY] began her ascent to underground notability, garnering key tastemaker support from DJ Hybrid, Goddard, Charlie Tee and Sarah Story with her treasure trove of bootlegs. 2023 marks an exciting chapter for the blossoming producer’s career, having been awarded a prestigious mentorship from Hospital Records, being named one of BBC Radio 1’s “Essential Artists for 2023” and included in Beatport’s ‘On Our Radar’ for July 2023.
Not stopping there [IVY] runs festival fashion brand Jazzy Garms which recently announced its partnership with Boomtown Festival, designing its official merchandise for 2023, and will be curating her own show on the newly relaunched Kool FM.
This year, [IVY] looks set to be a firm fixture in the club and festival circuit and will be performing across Warehouse Project, Boomtown Festival, Hospitality in the Woods and more.
‘looking 4 me’ is out now and cements [IVY]’s reputation as one of the most exciting producers coming out of the UK.
