Back in the 90’s, a young Italian DJ by the name Mariven began to make waves in her home city of Rome for her exquisite taste in music and undoubted talents on the turntables. Booked to play at some of the Italian capital’s best underground clubs such as L'Alibi, Vogue, Studio 7, Alpheus, Gay Village, Ducati Caffè, L’Anima, Skybar and Heaven saw her stock rise rapidly. A move to fashion capital, Milan, saw Meriven pick up where she left off in Rome by scoring gigs at venues such as G Lounge, MIB, Food&Fashion, Codice Club and Plastic for promoters such as Join The Gap, Around Women and Belli Freschi.
Already a household name as a DJ in many areas of Italy, Mariven looks set to go global with her impressive production debut on Bewild Records. Gathering together her knowledge and love of high fashion and high-end House music, ‘Get Here’ glitters with class. Featuring vocals from Liz Hill, ‘Get Here’ is a piano-driven peak hour floor-filler full of old school vibes and new school Garage-tinged bass lines which will be more than at home in any of the world’s more discerning clubs.
The release also features remixes in the form of Gianni Bini’s Supasax Dub and label bosses’ Boysinadisco’s rework which both take the track into deeper waters and put the icing on the cake of an all-round solid record.
Mariven – ‘Get Here’ featuring Liz Hill on Bewild Records is out now.
