Giglianni – I’d Buy That

Canadian House music extraordinaire David Del Giglio, better known as Giglianni is back to form this month with his latest single ‘I’d Buy That’, straight out of his new EP ‘Convenience Store’. Released on the 9th of March, 2015 ‘I’d Buy That’ is set to keep Giglianni’s immaculate success record going, with yet another chart topping track.

Giglianni’s productions have become regulars amongst top chart positions in recent years. His first EP ‘My Boyfriend is a DJ’ reached as high as #2 on HouseCharts.net, whilst his remix of Jezreel Sweet’s ‘Where R U’, and his 2014 EP ‘On the Floor’ both featured at #3 on the same chart. Moreover, his remix of Flash Brothers & Khushi’s ‘Home’, produced in tandem with Johnny Omega under the T.D.K. moniker hit Beatport charts at #6.

Giglianni’s works have been signed by top labels including: Hulk Records, Wolfrage Recordings, ALKATREC, Durp Supera Recs, Maintain Replay Records, Black Bug Recordings, Stoney Boy Music, and Boom Boom Music. His unique style and sound has also caught the attention of his peers, gaining support from A-list DJs such as: Mike Candys, Borgeous, Croatia Squad, Antonio Giacca, EDX, Stone Bridge and Sikdope.

Apart from displaying distinctive skills in the studio, Giglianni is also a sought after DJ, warming crowds around the four corners of the globe, including: the Mediterranean, Austria, New Zealand, and Fiji, aside from holding a residency at ‘The Refinery’ in Vancouver. With such a multitude of talents, the Canadian powerhouse is quickly establishing himself within the electronic music scene.

A prominent House groove provides a thumping introduction to the track, adding bass snippets to fore-shadow the deep, bass-infused, synth melody to follow. The single explodes into a euphoric burst of energy before softening up with outer-space inspired, phasing effects. A flute-like synth sound drives a smooth melodic section, which is then doubled with, harder and dirtier synth harmonies that give a punchy lift to the breakdown. A pitch shifting ascension heads into a ripping drop, giving a darker touch to the production before stripping-back into the mellower breakdown once more. Giglianni has a total hold over the dynamic levels of the single, controlling the energy levels and feel of the track with smart section positioning and skilful sound selection from his wide sonic palette.

‘I’d Buy That’ and the whole ‘Convenience Store’ package is being released by creative imprint Electric Station. Providing the best of House, Techno, Dubstep, Drum and Bass and Electro music, the Ukrainian label is growing its roster exponentially. Giglianni has now become part of their musical family, comprising names such as: Spiron, Erick Ruby, Rosso Fallen, Rostislav Pilipon, James Miller, Glasshouse, A2NV, Usky, Acid Killer, Sweet Funky Sounds, HeadShaker, Nextro, Frank Grosso, Nouhau, 4Legion, Jc Klubber, Alex Green, Scream-Z, Ov3r and Quantum amongst many others.
