De La Swing - Give Me Time EP

Elrow resident De La Swing touches down on Kaluki Musik this May, with Hot Creations talent wAFF and Kaluki label heads Pirate Copy stepping in on remix duties.

Having released on a number of esteemed labels including the likes of Material, Glasgow Underground and Deeperfect, De La Swing’s ability both behind the decks and in the studio is quickly becoming one known to many across all corners of the globe. Now entering into his 7th year as a resident for the infamous event series and nightclub Elrow, the Madrid native has established himself as one of the genres most in demand names whilst taking his inimitable energetic style to some of the worlds biggest clubs and festivals, and this latest EP demonstrates exactly why with two bubbling productions to mark his Kaluki Musik debut.

Title cut ‘Give Me Time’ kicks things off and sees the Spaniard introduce a well worked arrangement of drum shots and snare rolls, low slung rhythms and vibrant coos, before Hot Creations favourite wAFF turns in a signature remix, utilising playful vocal hooks and chants, crisp organic percussion shots and resonant synth whirrs.

Next up, De La Swing’s ‘Blow My Mind’ switches to a slightly darker aesthetic, marching forth armed with driving low-ends and stuttering vocals, before Pirate Copy’s take on the production closes the release with the duo substituting the originals snaking low ends for a thunderous bassline, shuffling percussion and skipping hats.

De La Swing ‘Give Me Time’ EP is out on Kaluki Musik on the 19th May 2017.
