GOAT Festival Returns To Indian Shores – Lineup announced

After stunning festival-goers with their inaugural event earlier this year, GOAT Festival, brainchild of London-based music and events agency GOAT Music, returns to Goan shores on January 26, 27, 28, 2018.

Boasting an all new exotic location, architects of the world's most innovative sounds, alongside a plethora of talent from the worlds of performing arts, theatre and spoken word, reconvene for a three-day celebration of colour, creativity and freedom. Set within a secret Ashvem coconut grove, the location offers a range of accommodation, from the luxurious to the more affordable and traveller friendly. A truly idyllic setting, looking west over the Arabian sea with a beautiful sunset view each night.

Last year GOAT Festival was truly an international affair, soundtracked by the festival's music ambassador Giles Peterson, Secretsundaze head honcho James Priestly, Janus Rasmussen of Icelandic duo Kiasmos, international music collective The Turbans, alongside Medlar. For their 2018 edition, GOAT welcomes some of the most exciting and influential names from across the board. Joining them will be radio tastemakerMoxie, Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, who'll also appear alongside Raf Rundell as their 2-step, house and soul collective The 2 Bears, plus MOBO Award-winning songwriter and actor Goldie.

GOAT also welcomes Berghain & Panorama Bar resident Dinky, disco operators Horse Meat Disco, and NTS regular Nabihah Iqbal, formally known as Throwing Shade. With their signature blend of gypsy & cabaret tunes, the fantastic Peter Cat Recording Company perform, in addition to Amp Fiddler, the Detroit producer, keyboardist, singer and collaborator of George Clinton and Moodymann.

Co-runner of the Melodies International label with Floating Points, Mafalda has forged a reputation as one of London's key music heads, she'll be on hand at GOAT to bring her selection of jazz and soul infusions to the festival. Recently tipped by Red Bull Studios as one of 21 rising British producers, recent MOBO Jazz award winner Moses Boyd will also take to the stage in Goa, plus Kaleekarma, the Mumbai based DJ who blends inspirations of various Indian, organic tribal and contemporary sounds into her unique style. Other artists on board for the event include Swadesi, Film and Zokhuma with more TBA.

Not only a delight for the ears, GOAT festival has everything needed to energise the mind, body and soul. Taking inspiration from its spiritual setting, visitors can revel in yoga, on-site spa therapies and wellbeing workshops. Furthermore, delicious local delicacies, prepared using sustainable produce, will be served at the numerous pop-up restaurants and adrenaline junkies will have the opportunity to surf and paddle-boat.

Tickets for the three-day festival will be available as day tickets and weekend passes, on sale now at www.goatfestival.co.uk with more artists TBA.
