CLiVE - Going Back / Mambo Cafe
CLiVe is the A&R for the long running Digital Traffik label and now he steps up to it with two sizzling cuts entitled Going Back and Mambo Cafe. He has put out many great tunes on this label and these two new ones are no different.
Going Back is first and is a nearly nine minute ops that really gets under your skin. It has rolling rubbery drums down low and smeared chords bring a soulful but futuristic feel. Some clipped vocals are patched into the groove to make it more human and overall it really pops. Then Mambo Cafe hits a bit harder. It is still a deep cut, but the claps are thunderous, the vocals are more fiery and there is a real sense of sexual tension in the way it builds. Synth based radiance really adds warmth and scale to the whole thing and once again then this is a fine release from the excellent Digital Traffik crew.
