Grammy-award winning duo COASTCITY unveil new latin R&B hit “AFTER LIFE” featuring Venezuelan sensation FABRO

Who would have thought two kids from Puerto Rico were going to fall so deeply in love with R&B that they would end up putting their own spin on it and reinventing the genre for new generations?

COASTCITY was born at the perfect moment when its members Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores had already made a name for themselves in the music industry. This is evident when listening to music by Ricky Martin, Beyoncé, Karol G, Sting, Christina Aguilera, and The Weeknd in which Jean managed the vocal production. Danny’s musical direction can be heard in performances from YENDRY, Luis Fonsi, Mau y Ricky, and CNCO just to name a few.

That’s how COASTCITY appeared on the scene. Two R&B loving musicians, a vocal expert and a musical direction specialist who ended up being nominated at the 2019 Grammy Awards for Best Rock Alternative Album and at the Latin Grammy’s for Best Urban Album of the Year.

Their new release, “AFTER LIFE”, presents a fresh fusion of Latin and R&B elements. Produced during a memorable session in Buenos Aires, where Danny F, also known as D COAST, collaborated with rising Venezuelan artist FABRO (living in Argentina), the track carries a dark and emotional undertone. After the initial session, D COAST joined forces with Jean in Miami to complete the songwriting and production process.

The song narrates a love story that transcends a single lifetime. Exploring an unresolved conflict that ultimately finds solace in the afterlife, the track takes listeners on a journey of healing and emotional discovery.

Talking about the track, COASTCITY explain: ““After life” is the continuation of our last song “Futuro”, its the new Latin R&B sound that bilingual, rhythmic and emotional. It’s COASTCITY’s first time collaborating with FABRO who is an up and coming artist out of Buenos Aires Argentina.” The single also marks COASTCITY’s first collaboration with the rising talent FABRO, adding an exciting dynamic to their already diverse discography.

Beyond their musical endeavors, both Jean Rodríguez and Danny Flores continue to make an impact in the music industry. Jean serves as a governor and influential member of the Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy, participating in esteemed panels alongside renowned producer and writer Poo Bear. Jean’s exceptional talent was recognized with five Grammy wins in the past year. Meanwhile, Danny has been Music Directing for various artists and recently graduated with a Master’s in Music Business and Entertainment from the University of Miami.
