Hazy Eyes Maybe, the mesmeric debut album from space-folk artist Grimm Grimm, is released today via ATP Recordings. Dubbed “eternal acid-washed bliss” by NME and “wistful, introspective and achingly beautiful” by Loud and Quiet magazine, Hazy Eyes Maybe is one of 2015’s most original releases; and dreamy, escapist record unlike anything you’ve heard before.
Grimm Grimm’s Hazy Eyes Maybe can be streamed now via Spotify. Purchase via ATP Recordings / iTunes.
Grimm Grimm is London based, Tokyo born multi-instrumentalist Koichi Yamanoha. No stranger to the more experimental side of music, Koichi previously fronted the acid-psyche band Screaming Tea Party. Where his former band channelled their creativity into something more distorted and aggressive, Grimm Grimm is a masterclass in restraint, making sparse, nuanced textures using an acoustic guitar, effects pedals and vintage synthesisers, to heart-rending affect.
Grimm Grimm is set to open Let’s Wrestle’s last ever gig at London’s legendary 100 Club on July 10th. Tickets are available now.
Grimm Grimm recently unveiled the stunning, dream-like video for ‘Tell The Truth’, which can be watched now via Noisey.
