Hackney Downs Summer Fête

Brought to you by the Star of Hackney Downs.

Saturday 26th August | 12 – 8pm

Looking for plans for the final bank holiday weekend of the summer? Look no further, community-hub-pub The Star by Hackney Downs has you covered, with their annual snazzy Summer Fête. Taking over Hackney Downs Park on Saturday 26th August for a full day of fun and games, there’ll be outdoor games, face painting, vintage markets, dog show and street food pop ups all part of the fun, as well as tunes providied by local East London selectors ‘We Are The Sunset.’ Expect a village fête vibe with an East End twist – fun for all the family.

There’s the dog show, there’ll be a plant sale hosted by local green fingered collective Hackney Community Gardeners, a vintage market, Plus there’s plenty of outdoor games for grown ups and kids. Think coconut shy, GIANT Jenga, rounders and more. For the enlightened, you can get all zen with yoga in the park hosted by Matt Stretch.

Food is being supplied by Biff's Jack Shack, the patate, Salty Loins, Lele's, Hanoi Cà Phê – Street Food & Drink, Born & Raised, Sorbitium Ices.​ Vegans and vegetarians catered for.

All this is to a backdrop of blissed-out beats, Balearic bangers, oddball disco and general eclectic niceness from Star regulars, DJ collective We Are The Sunset.
