Resonance Records co-owner George Smeddles returns with ‘Hard To Find’ featuring two separate collaborations alongside Jimmy D and Ying Yang plus a remix from label founder Max Chapman.
Smeddles’ recent releases have appeared on formidable labels like Erase Records and Toolroom, but most of his output has landed on Resonance Records – the UK label he runs alongside Hot Creations and ElRow producer Max Chapman. Joining him on this release are two London newcomers; Jimmy D and Ying Yang.
Alongside Jimmy D, ‘Hard To Find’ sees Smeddles blend together quivering synths, a meandering bassline and stuttering vocal samples for a stripped back cut boasting a low-slung groove. Max Chapman then reinterprets the original, incorporating a medley of percussive elements to inject the track with plenty of rhythm before Smeddles teams up with Ying Yang for ‘Club Control’, featuring snappy snares, trippy atmospherics and sultry bass.
George Smeddles ‘Hard To Find EP’ drops on Resonance Records on 29th September 2017.
