Label bosses CDC welcome back the talented Raffa FL, dropping his brand new EP on their Liverpool based imprint Carpe Diem Musica. With recent releases on Material, Definition:Music and Glasgow Underground this is set to be a huge release.
Starting things off with ‘Move Back’ with its retro crisp beats, cheeky spoken vocal rap sample and its bubbling and bouncing melodic bassline directing the path forward, this tracks simplicity is its strong point. Solid house music to make you smile? Job done!
The title track ‘Haus Edge’ has a sleazier and moodier tinge, while still delivering a powerful driving edge, while the riff wraps everything up in a nice techie blanket of goodness. Fierce!
Label favourites ‘Truth Be Told’ are up on remix duties and get to work on ‘Move Back’. Its all about that infectious bass here that is a rollin’ vibe and a half, with shoulder swaying guaranteed! The remix meanders and teases us with a filtered acidic blippy pattern that works a treat before the bass returns and ‘boom’ – dance floor mayhem ensues!
