Hayden James Releases Third Studio Album ‘We Could Be Love’ via Future Classic

Australian multi-platinum artist Hayden James has unveiled his anticipated third studio album We Could Be Love out now via Future Classic. The album includes previously released singles ‘All In’, ‘Patience’ with Karen Harding, ‘Deep Diving’ with UK songstress SHELLS, ‘Make It’ with fellow Aussie producer Kormak, and the titular ‘We Could Be Love’ with electro-pop duo AR/CO.

Straddling the worlds of classic house, indie dance, and pop, We Could Be Love is an endearing blend of James’ craftsmanship as a songwriter and upbeat inclinations as a DJ. An 11-track tale of devotion and yearning through timeless, danceable soundscapes, We Could Be Love expands on the breezy, sunsoaked sentiments that have driven James’ catalog. The album is a reflection of the duality that has distinguished James throughout his career – uplifting and emotive songs framed through a club-friendly lens.

“‘We Could Be Love’ was such a fun album to write with so many incredible feature artists. It feels so special to release an album right now and I want to give fans a whole moment with my music…not just a song or two. This album takes me from the beach to the club and back. It’s emotive and powerful and I’m so proud of every record and thankful to everyone involved. Turn it up and enjoy the vibes. ‘We Could Be Love’ is all yours.” – Hayden James

Featuring new collaborations with Izzy Bizu, Tudor, Ross Quinn, and more, We Could Be Love acts as a sonic capsule that stretches from his roots in Australia’s house music scene to the influences of American and UK underground sounds. The album is cut with edgier explorations into James’ brand of house-pop with inklings of deep tech on ‘Waves Out’ and progressive accents in ‘Don’t Let Me Go’. From the lovesick notions of songs like ‘Medicine’ and ‘Shelter’ to the undeniable rhythms of tracks like ‘The Pleasure’ and ‘Make It’, the album encompasses the breadth of sonic depth James has developed over the last decade.

Envisioned for the dancefloor, We Could Be Love is the soundtrack to James’ new Just Friends party series, which launched in April in Sydney, with its second edition held in Gold Coast. The third Just Friends and first-ever U.S. edition will coincide with the album release at The Spotlight in Los Angeles on September 13. Hayden James will also bring We Could Be Love to venues and clubs across North America with his headline We Could Be Love Tour, supported by Laurence Guy and Kormak.
