Currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album, James is influenced by artists including Jamie xx, Caribou, Daft Punk, SBTRKT, James Blake, and Toro Y Moi. He grew up in Sydney and cut his teeth on the local club scene, where he quickly became known as one of the city’s rising stars. The Balearic pop of his debut track, ‘Permission To Love’, helped him scale the busy heights of the booming Australian electronic scene and to the pinnacle of the Hype M chart. An EP and a slew of remixes (Dillon Francis, ODESZA, RÜFÜS) later, and James had further established himself as a mainstay on both the Australian and international touring circuits.
