18-year-old production genius Refeci collaborates with Be Jules on the immaculate Heat.
Disco:wax’s never-ending drive to unearth the most promising new talent around continues with the release of Heat by Recefi, a bright new Danish talent aged just 18.
Inspired by the likes of Martin Garrix – himself a similar age when he broke through – Recefi is already making a career of music, producing for commercial projects. But now he’s ready to embark on the next chapter, where he himself steps into the spotlight as the producer.
Beginning with the gentlest of guitar chords and Be Jules’ sumptuous voice glistening in all its glory Heat is a classy beast from very first moment. Her emotions swell as the bridge lifts the track higher, and finally, the full power of the track is unleashed for the glorious chorus. Churning, spacious beats are fleshed out with pleasing pulses of synth energy and ticking hi-hats, with Be Jules’ perfect pop performance complemented by sweet vox synths.
The second verse her draw inspiration from contemporary R&B for her vocal delivery as warm bass tones permeates the track. Soaring guitar style synths take the track to a higher level before the final bridge/breakdown takes the emotion higher with magical piano notes. A true powerhouse of a track, the contrasts within it are what really makes it pop.
Refeci feat Be Jules ‘Heat’ will be released via Disco:wax.
