Two heavy weight party crews come together on New Year’s Eve with Heavy Disco and Eat The Beat hosting a floor each at the intimate, but rather lovely Star of Kings (Cross). Not only known for their ability to throw a damn good party, but the musical/DJ heritage on board with these two crews is exceptional, and dare we say unrivalled in London on NYE. Well it certainly is for any party under 500 capacity!
On the ground floor Heavy Disco, champions of edits before edits where everywhere and hosts of so many good parties over the last 8 years, welcome the burgeoning Balearic Mike to join residents Ashley Beedle, Dave Jarvis and Scottie Johnson.
Eat The Beat celebrate their first year of parties bringing their original take on house to the basement for an 8 hour trip around the house globe.
Sean Johnston (ALFOS, Hardway Bros) and Stuart Patterson (The Date, East Village) head up a fine line-up, supported by Terry Childs and Dave Hawkes. While there is enough musical integrity and DJ talent on show to satisfy any aficionado, this won’t be no chin stroking affair but a proper party fit for any New Year.
There is also the renowned fierce and glamorous door host Elton and a secret disco punch to welcome you from the doors. They’ll be plenty of fun, top visuals, plus the clean and precise sound of Funktion 1 befitting for this line-up. 9.00 pm- 5.00 am, Tuesday 31st December, The Star of Kings, 126 York Way, Kings Cross, N1 0AX.
