Heijmat & Ramsesboomboom Come Together For New Remix Of ‘Where Will It Take Us’

Dutch alternative-electronic solo artist Heijmat is back in the spotlight with a vibrant new remix of his single ‘Where Will It Take Us’, courtesy of Ramsesboomboom, the project of acclaimed production duo Erik Buschmann and Wannes Salomé.

The brainchild of multi-platinum award-winning mixing engineer and producer Huub Reijnders, Heijmat’s latest remix follows the release of his acclaimed EP ‘Lost & Found’ on February 16th. With a career rooted in producing for renowned artists like Jack Parow, Kraak & Smaak, and Merol, Heijmat has garnered attention for his own music, crafting vibrant soundscapes of swelling analogue synths and mesmerizing beats. His tracks have found placements across Spotify and Apple Music Editorials, earning him widespread acclaim.

The new remix of ‘Where Will It Take Us’ deconstructs the original’s structure, weaving a more ambient, synth-led electronic soundscape adorned with resampled vocals and lively 4-to-the-floor beats that gradually intensify. Ethereal and euphoric, the remix introduces the lead vocals of MRYN at the midpoint, creating moments of atmospheric tension before building towards an explosive climax characterized by fluorescent analogue synths and sub-heavy bass.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Huub Reijnders expressed his excitement, stating, “I think they took the track to a whole new level, and I can’t wait to see how people react to it!”

Erik Buschmann of Ramsesboomboom shared insights into their creative process, stating, “The track and vocals from MRYN had such an inviting nice vibe – we started messing around with the vocals first. While searching for a new sound we were scrolling through a granular synth. That scrolling sound eventually became the foundation for this remix.”

Heijmat’s rapid rise to recognition has seen his music featured on prestigious playlists such as Electronic Rising and New Music Friday, cultivating a dedicated and growing fanbase worldwide. With each release, Heijmat continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, showcasing his talent for experimentation and innovation.
