As many may already know, HenriFernand (aka Ludovic Bordas), has been at the epicentre of electronic music, almost since its conception. With a career spanning over an impressive 20-year period, Bordas has proved himself as both well-learned and valuable to the scene.
It is for this reason that teaming up with the almighty Agaric and Julien Lenoir proves a match made in heaven. The French stalwarts add their own unique mark to the Future Relics imprint, famous for pushing the most experimental content the country has to offer.
‘The More I Learn’ is club pop for the brave and ambitious listener. With a catchy riff and choral elements, the title track, and its reinterpretations, are likely to remain in your head for days on end after only one listen.
HenriFernand’s own version builds gradually and before one is even able to notice, has become a crescendo of sound and emotion. Agaric’s club-ready version stretches out over 9 minutes, with the track’s vocals playing second to its addictive acid stabs. Julien Lenoir offers an affecting reshape, allowing the vocals space to breathe, giving the track an anthemic quality. HenriFernand’s own ‘I Feel Free’ is shorter and deeper, it soars slowly as the listener is constantly dragged under by its grumbling bass and pounding snares.
