Hollen Returns To His Own Prospect Records with ‘Timeless’ EP

One of the most long-standing Italian artists on the international circuit, Hollen’s contribution to the progression of techno during his fifteen year-long career has been immense. With an extensive discography of underground cuts across an impressive selection of leading labels including Tronic, Terminal M, Kuukou Records and Filth on Acid, the prolific producer now returns to his own esteemed Prospect Records with his brand new ‘Timeless’ EP.

Set to follow in the grand success of his five-track ‘Feel Alive’ record for the label in January of this year, Hollen’s aptly-titled new offering is another prime example of his ability to create timeless electronic music with a progressive edge.

The extended-player opens with its title track ‘Timeless’; a rolling slice of peak-time techno founded on crisp percussion, heady vocal chops and unequivocally cool melodic sequences. Perfect for main stages and intimate venues alike, this anthemic cut is a prime example of Prospect’s ethos to promote the club cuts that stand the test of time.

Hollen’s second offering, ‘Convert’, is another propulsive gem that showcases many of the raw and refined sonic sensibilities that have become synonymous with his abundant output. Deploying a bellowing kick, tempoed drum patterns and a potent web of synth intricacies, the cherished talent provides an enveloping listening experience that’s both thrilling and meditative in equal measure.

Rounding out the extended player we’re treated to a special ‘Intro Mix’ of ‘Timeless’. Breeding anticipation from the offset, the almost minute-long cut emphasises its counterpart’s delicate synth patterns, hazy soundscapes and overlapping melodies with great subtlety and finesse.]

Highlighting the pinnacle of his musical and technical expertise, Hollen has consistently dominated the charts with his impeccable catalogue of original productions, collaborations alongside artists including Pirupa and Uto Karem, as well as remixes for icons such as Moby. Launching the highly-influential Prospect Records in 2011, Hollen’s mission to nurture new talent has made him one of the most respected figures in the industry.

Transitioning seamlessly from studio to stage, Hollen possesses an inherently strong understanding of both production and performance. From the pulsating clubs of Europe to electrifying festivals across continents, his distinct brand of techno has captivated audiences worldwide. Whether commanding the dance floors of Elrow and Fabrik, Spain or igniting the energy at the Dockyard Festival in Amsterdam, Hollen’s sets are a testament to his ability to move crowds with his infectious beats.
