Kick-drum-free and pianoforte framed, the Original version of ‘Home’ supplied ‘ALMA’ – Giuseppe’s most recent & celebrated long-player – with its tracklist swansong. It also formed a remarkably different platform for the voice of Jennifer Rene – showcasing the US singer’s talents in a hitherto unseen light.

As distinct as the changing of the seasons however, for his summer kiss-off Giuseppe’s brought ‘Home’ back up on the mixing desk and retooled it. In a brilliant sleight of production hand, he’s shifted its centre of gravity, translating ‘Home’ into a major league floor-rocker.   

Giuseppe primes his OnAir uprush with with club-shifting bass, empyrean sub-melodies, sweeping pads and – post-break – elevating synth bursts. Centrestaged in the drop, Jennifer’s soulful voice and the fragile beauty of her song lose not an ounce of their bittersweet ability to stir.
