Following on from the release of ‘Saffron City’, elusive duo Jynx reveal the second single to be taken from their Saffron City EP. ‘Honey’ is forthcoming on Hear This Records on Friday 20th January ’17.
Jynx had their first release earlier this year with ‘Charm’ which opened Eton Messy’s In:Season compilation. Since its release, Jynx have started to turn heads from industry tastemakers alike. Annie Mac named them as one of her #NewNames to watch for September, as well as gaining full support from BBC Introducing, Beats 1’s Julie Adenuga, Kidnap Kid & club support from the likes of MJ Cole. Those who want to sample more of that particular Jynx sound should listen to recently released remixes for Emeli Sandé (Virgin/EMI) and newcomer Alyss (PMR Records).
With ‘Saffron City’ racking up plays from BBC R1Xtra’s MistaJam & DJ Target, not forgetting entering the UK Viral Spotify chart at #20, and both tracks included in The Magician’s ‘Magic Tape 66’; The duo continue with their mechanical, experimental sound – ‘Honey’ tapping even further into their capabilities. A dark, club revolver – Jynx fuse distorted, echoed vocals with a truly prominent backbone of electronic production.
