Hotboxx & Stallings Team Up for ‘El Ritmo’

Producer and DJ Hotboxx makes his return with the release of ‘El Ritmo’ on Cox Music Records. The next project alongside Stallings, the single sees him retain the signature energy, grooves, and rhythmic nuance that have come to define his work – a common thread that runs throughout his music, whether collaborative, original, or a remix. 

For Hotboxx, music creation, performance, and the Electronic Music genre itself is a passion that has revealed itself through a number of creative avenues; from building up his discography to taking to stages across the USA and South America to curating party-nights for his event brand, Vice City, to acting as mentor for the genre’s next generation of talent via his academy, The Underground Institute, the space he takes up within Electronic Music moves beyond Producer and DJ. With releases that have landed on labels like Sirup, Whoyostro and House of Hustle, and recent summer performances, including a slot at Deep Tropics and a debut set for BLNK CNVS Presents alongside ChaseWest, there appears to be no stopping Hotboxx; now propelling himself into this next release, he offers yet another display of his creative voice and the artistic intuition guiding him forward.  

A natural partnership, ‘El Ritmo’ showcases the shared musical harmony between Hotboxx and Stallings, merging each of their signature styles in a precise way. With its rhythmic bounce and tightly engineered melodic details, the soundscape evolves at a vibrant yet considered pace; as funky chordal motifs meet with dynamic horn licks and interlaced vocal layers, expressed through Spanish lines and syncopated hooks, the track continues to construct a rich sonic fabric, maintaining a percussive-led foundation that Hotboxx and Stallings pair with fluid textures and expressive synth work.
