Arriving on Arcane Music this Friday 16th August, new tracks ‘Turbo’ and ‘Brotata’ showcase why these Irish brothers are being noticed by dance music greats
Prepare to be captivated by the analogue sounds of the two-tracker ‘TURBO’, the latest electro-techno marvel from Disfreq, the dynamic duo hailing from Donegal, Ireland. The EP’s out on 16th August via Arcane Music.
The brothers’ latest release is a spellbinding journey through the darker, deeper realms of their unique hybrid “Disfreq Sound”. Known for their electrifying energy and top-drawer production quality, the tracks ‘Turbo’ and ‘Brotata’ are set to confirm yet again why this brotherly duo are ones to watch for the year ahead.
Disfreq have cemented their status as one of the most exciting young acts in dance music, with their tracks being championed by industry titans such as Solomun, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati, Pete Tong, Tale of Us, Jamie Jones, Adriatique, CamelPhat, Andrea Oliva, Patrick Topping, Eli Brown, Rebūke, Deborah De Luca, Hi-Lo, Boys Noize, Wade and more. In little over a year the duo have also achieved three Track IDs and an Essential New Tune on BBC Radio 1. Quotes such as ‘Leading the next generation of how to produce club music properly’ and ‘Daft Punk meets 303’ from the likes of Danny Howard and Charlotte De Witte are testament to this Irish duo’s bright future ahead.
Their new track, ‘Turbo’, opens with an ominous eerie synth, accompanied by a high pitched Disfreq vocal that sets the stage for the tracks descent into high octane insanity. As the bassline emerges, deep and driving, it forms the backbone of the track, propelling listeners into a shadowy, pulsating world that’s as dark as the forthcoming video.
Disfreq’s meticulous attention to detail and masterful production skills are also on full display in ‘Brotata’. Layers of intricate percussion add depth and complexity, making each listen a new experience. As the track progresses, haunting melodies and spectral effects create an otherworldly atmosphere, drawing listeners deeper into its hypnotic spell.
With the ‘TURBO’ EP, Disfreq continue to build on their impressive catalogue, delivering music which is both a testament to their roots and a bold statement of their future direction. Disfreq’s following of loyal fans grows ever stronger.
