Late August marks a new release from Montel on Leftwing & Kody’s Lost Records with a resounding three-track release entitled ‘House Train’.
Having recently released on the likes of Bedrock, Lapsus Music, Resonance, Stereo Productions and Leena Music, the hype around Montel mid-way into 2016 is indisputable. Following on from a release on Lost last year that garnered support from the likes of Skream, James Zabiela, Riva Starr, Anja Schneider, Catz N Dogz and Hector Couto, ‘House Train’ marks Montel’s third outing on the thriving UK imprint.
‘House Train’ initiates with shuffling percussion and heady synth hooks later joined by brisk vocal loops and subtle melodies, before ‘Protection’ demonstrates punchy kicks and an uncompromising bassline. Closing track ‘I Want You’ then combines silky vox loops with infectious acid licks whilst a sultry low-end purrs throughout.
