MadTech Records are back with a fresh four tracker courtesy of Human Life & Jackson Englund, entitled ‘Coming Down’ and backed with a remix from Demarzo.
Los Angeles Matthew Wasley aka Human Life has been making huge waves in the industry of late with releases on Defected and collaborations with Anabel Englund for Hot Waves and Universal. Here we see Human Life pair up with Jackson Englund and Troy Kurtz for a new collaborative release, this time returning to the MadTech Records imprint following his ‘Moment’ track featured on the label’s recent ‘MadTech 02 – Ibiza’ compilation.
Title cut ‘Coming Down’ opens up the release and sees the duo deliver a tripped-out, hypnotic composition with soaring pad sweeps, dynamic bass hooks and mesmeric melodies, amalgamated alongside infectious vocal lines to create a striking contemporary house cut. Following is ‘Unrequited’ where Wasley and Troy Kurtz tip the focus over a deeper aesthetic with beguiling atmospherics, low- slung rhythms and bulbous bass hooks alongside sporadic vocal phrases.
Last up to round off the package is Nervous Records artist DeMarzo’s take on ‘Coming Down’, reshaping the original number into a stripped-back percussive led workout with snaking sub hits, expansive tension sweeps and looped chopped of the original’s vocal hooks.
Human Life & Jackson Englund’s ‘Coming Down’ EP is out on MadTech Records 27th July (Beatport) and 7th August (General) 2015.
