A project launched in late May, yet one already getting attention from a host of the industry’s finest, Miami events series Hurry Up Slowly’s in-house label has quickly established itself as a new outlet for fresh sounds from across the house landscape. Having launched via a collaborative EP from founders Calussa and Malone, with a follow-up EP from the former, early July sees the arrival of their first EP from their carefully curated selection of international guests. Two rising names within the global scene, London-based, Marrakech-born DJ and producer Jalal Ramdani and Spanish talent Arodes combine on the label for their collaborative debut, ‘La Brisa’ – accompanied by a remix from Moscow’s Simo Moumen.
Fusing rich melodies, slick organic drums, and engaging chants throughout, ‘La Brisa’ welcomes a rolling cut steeped in-depth and drive, before Simo Moumen’s remix introduces resonant piano chords, swirling synths, and refined percussion to shape up proceedings in style.
