Born in Reykjavík, LaFontaine is a producer and DJ emerging from Iceland’s vibrant electronic scene. Known for acclaimed releases such as Dehumanized—featuring a remix by Matrixxman on Exos’s label Planet X—and Parallel Series 7 on Luke Slater’s Mote-Evolver imprint, LaFontaine has earned recognition from respected figures across the industry. Now, he launches a new era with Huxi / Huxa, the debut EP on his own label 199X. Featuring two forward-thinking techno cuts, “Huxi” and “Huxa,” the release marks the beginning of an ambitious monthly EP series running throughout 2026. Deeply influenced by Iceland’s ever-changing weather and landscapes, LaFontaine continues to channel emotion and atmosphere into his productions—blending precision, power, and innovation to shape a sound that is distinctly his own.
