HYTE Amsterdam 2015

Following the success of their ADE 2014 series, Global event series HYTE returns to Amsterdam for their most ambitious set of events to date. This February and March, Warehouse Elementenstraat will be transformed into an underground music mecca, with house and techno heavyweights gathering for eight nights across four consecutive weekends.

The series features three exclusive collaborations, including a night hosted by Detroit’s legendary techno festival, Movement, which will feature musical innovators Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson, plus Holland’s own Motor City-‐influenced STERAC aka Steve Rachmad. Amsterdam tastemakers Les Enfants Terribles (LET) and VBX play host on the opening and closing nights, respectively, with Ben Sims, Cosmin TRG, Sonja Moonear and Ricardo Villalobos on hand. Additional HYTE headliners throughout the series include Maya Jane Coles, Tom Trago, Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Marcel Dettmann, Apollonia, Robert Hood as Floorplan, Pan-‐Pot, Paul Ritch and DVS1.

About Warehouse Elementenstraat
Starting life as a peanut factory but hosting semi-‐legal raves since 1992, such as the legendary Multigroove events, Warehouse Elementenstraat is interwoven with the history of Amsterdam’s rich electronic music culture. The raw, industrial feel invokes the spirit of the early days of rave and remains at the forefront of the HYTE ethos, but paired with impeccable production and a world-‐class lineup of artists, an experience of warm nostalgia yet excitement for the unknown creates a revelers sanctuary out of this imposing venue.

Further adding to the multi-‐sensory experience, leading visual artist Heleen Blanken will be transforming the warehouse into a giant canvas of disturbing yet appealing imagery, where industrial overtones interact with the dark side of nature. Resident VJ of the late Trouw and Ben Klock’s international Klockworks Showcases, and regular at numerous festivals, clubs, galleries and theatres, she has also been commissioned to make visual impressions for the Inertia compilation on Delsin’s sublabel Ann Aimee, as well as collaborating with Jeff Mills on the ‘Space Time Continuum’ project. Also taking on visual duties will be EYESONTHEWALL (Valeria Meng & Roman Knipping-‐Sorokin), a team of interdisciplinary artists with a focus on combining custom content and live-‐action in dynamic environments.
