‘I Like It When U’ starts with purring percussion, building as the listener’s anticipation grows. 909’s combine with morphed synths and vocal lines to create an addictive, evolving sound indicative of Holiday’s special blend of anthemic House. The flip side, ‘Hotline’, is an equally dark and explorative track. Distortion and diversity are the key words to this one, whilst keeping the powerful drums and roaring bass line you’d expect to find in Holiday’s tracks. The two tracks do a great job of showing the unique and intricate way the artist produces his work, taking influences from all different genres to create his own flavour.
