Legendary DJ & producer, Wilkinson, has teamed up with Metrik to deliver a brand new remix of his single ‘I Need.’ The rework follows Wilkinson’s recent unveiling of the track’s official video (starringThomas Turgoose) and follows his Sub Focus collaboration ‘Take It Up’ earlier in the year.
Showcasing Metrik’s signature style, the fast-paced bassline at the heart of his production brings a dynamic feel to the interpretation. Having previously scored a UK Dance Chart Top 10, mixed an edition of the prestigious Essential Mix hosted by Pete Tong, as well as being given his own residency on BBC Radio 1, Metrik continues to garner widespread acclaim on account of his vibrant productions.
Outside of the airwaves, Metrik has delivered his high-energy dance-floor sound to the world in recent times, with appearances at the likes of Glastonbury, EDC, and Global Gathering. Previously remixing a diverse range of names, including Eric Prydz, Swedish House Mafia, Sub Focus, Skepta, Enter Shikari, and Gorgon City, Metrik always brings a futuristic edge to his music, as demonstrated via ‘I Need.’
With Wilkinson’s original version packed with his typically powerful production prowess, ‘I Need’follows his fifth consecutive summer residency at Amnesia Ibiza’s ‘Together’ event series, as well as performances at Creamfields, Hideout, SW4, Reading & Leeds Festival, and a sold-out live show at Brixton Academy.
Selling over 20,000 tickets for his recent UK tour, Wilkinson continues to impress, shifting over 1.2m records so far, including the Gold-certified top 10 hit ‘Afterglow’. Proving his quality across remixes as well as original productions, Wilkinson has reworked tracks for the likes of Ed Sheeran, The Prodigy, Becky Hill, Wretch 32 and Rag N Bone Man.
The release of Wilkinson & Metrik’s ‘I Need’ remix precedes a busy winter for the pair, with Wilkinsontaking his thunderous beats across New Zealand, whilst Metrik will embark on a Europe & Japanese tour.
