ICYKOF – ‘Designer’ – out now on Astral People Recordings / [PIAS] Australia

London-based DJ and producer ICYKOF today announces his signing to Astral People Recordings / [PIAS] Australia, launching into a new era with the forthcoming release of his second studio EP, Truth Is Infront Of You, due out 26th September. Alongside the news he also shares latest single ‘Designer’, a Detroit techno-inspired peak time roller that throws some glamour amongst the grit, replete with low-slung, spoken vocals and redolent of sweaty walls, amyl nitrate and dilated pupils.

Drawing from the deep soul of Detroit techno and Chicago house, his sound combines the legacy of luminaries such as Robert Hood, Carl Craig and Kevin Saunderson with the energy and edge of London’s contemporary underground. Raw, soulful and built for the future, since launching earlier this year with his debut EP, ZERO SUGAR, ICYKOF has amassed a groundswell of hype, with co-signs and support from notable fans Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, TSHA and more.

Formerly known for creating The Unknown Vlogs – a YouTube phenomenon boasting over a million subscribers – ICYKOF has already helped define an era of streetwear content and cultural storytelling. Now fully immersed in music, his practice explores the intersections of identity, nightlife and sound with the same fearless instinct that built his name in fashion – an uncompromising and magnetic vision which, whether on record or in the booth, is undeniably up next.
