Barely a month goes by without Acumen relating his latest essential tunes. The Frenchman is a real machine when it comes to turning out top club weapons and this latest one is no different: His Ideal Feminin EP features three fine cuts that all make a big impact.
The title track goes first and is the sort of tough, floor facing cut that really makes you sweat. Shooting synths, whirring machines and tumbling leads all add drama to a heavyweight groove. Panier de Crabe then gets all wonky and dirty, with turbulent bass and crisp claps, dramatic vocals and dark stabs all making for an intense and prickly brew. Last of all, Envieuse is deeper and more moody, with rolling rubber kicks and icy hi hats playing off each other as soul infused sings bring some warmth. Once again then all of the tracks here offer something slightly different but they are all equally essential.
