illyus & Barrientos Announced as Glasgow Cocktail Weekend Headliners

The first ever Glasgow Cocktail Weekend (running Aug 9th – 12th) is excited to announce that renowned Scottish house duo illyus & Barrientos will be joining them as headliners at their inaugural event.

Since building their friendship on the dancefloors of Glasgow, illyus & Barrientos have carved out an international career out of their mutual love of the kind of unashamedly big, floor-filling modern house tunes that have since propelled them to dizzying levels of acclaim.

With releases so far for Defected, Suara, Toolroom, Exploited Records and Glasgow Underground and riotous gigs at Space Ibiza, Ministry of Sound, XOYO, The Arches, Riverside Festival and Boardmasters Festival, they have cemented their status as one of the hottest DJ and production duos in the UK.

Running from August 9th  to August 12th, Glasgow Cocktail Weekend is set to be an incredible showcase of Glasgow’s best bars, delicious drinks and live music performances across the city. The duo will be keeping Glasgow up all night as they play the Naked Grouse presents stage within the Rotunda complex.

They join a jam-packed music line-up with four intimate performances from DJs that regularly play to sell out crowds including groove masters Silicone Soul, dance floor favourites We Should Hang Out more and Rebecca Vasmant who will bring her unique twist on electronic music with her love of jazz. All in the illustrious backdrop of the top two floors of the Rotunda during the four day event.

Tickets are priced from £10 from www.glasgowcocktailweekend.co.uk and grant access to a world of cocktails and music over four days. Anyone that buys a weekend ticket before July 31st will also be entered into a Golden Cocktail draw to win one of four VIP tickets, granting all area access throughout the festival, a premium distillery tour at Auchentoshan with drams, a Makar Gin distillery tour, and a dining experience in Rioja in Finnieston.
