PURPLE VELVET – original.jpgsoundcloud.com/purple-velvet

Purple Velvet is Chris James (Half of Coat Of Arms with Eats Everything) and Lee Dearn, two purveyors of deep and sensuous house music since forming in late 2011. Having gotten to know each other at various late night music sessions, the pair have increasingly honed their own house sound that’s as suited to the dark confines of a club as it is the sunnier vibes of an outdoor terrace. Examples to date can be found on the ever on-point Berlin label, Exploited, in the form of their Flashways EP. Both tracks pair fresh and radiant synth work with loose beats and plenty of colourful details, and have garnered support from the likes of Huxley, Til Von Sein and Apollonia’s Dyed Soundorom for their dance floor dynamics.

DEMARZO – original.jpgsoundcloud.com/demarzo

DeMarzo’s sound is a meticulously crafted one. His toxic perfectionism and shrewd sense of rhythm lead him naturally to where he is today. Deep, Provocative and Eclectic, his unheard edits and well-revised sets include anything from modern day soulful funk and disco vibes to main room deep house. Without giving too much away, you’ll be sure to shake your ass.
Early exposure landed him on Barcelona’s finest Digital Delight records run by Sishi Rosch and Diego Moreno. Since then DeMarzo has mad releases on Diynamic Music, Noir Music, NYC’s Nurvous Records and many more.
