Alex Adair, one of the most exciting young producers to come out of 2014 and the man behind the infectious ‘Make Me Feel Better’ (coming soon on Virgin EMI) continues to live up to his hype with yet another glistening remix of an act of huge stature. This time taking on’ ‘I Bet My Life’ from American super-group Imagine Dragons, Adair imparts the effortless signature touch that infuses his originals and remixes sure to stand him in good stead for a breakthrough year ahead. Stream the track via Imagine Dragons’ VEVO page below:
Staying true enough to the original to please even the most avid of Imagine Dragons fans, Adair still manages to take the record to the same dance floor, crowd-pleasing space of all his previous productions. Keeping Dan Reynolds’ vocals and catchy chants the principal part of the track, he ups the tempo from the back end with a guitar riff and lively percussion that the band themselves would have been proud to claim their own. Gliding behind the top-line for the three and a half-minute runtime, Alex’s inventive and original production soars from intro, chorus and middle 8 so fluently, it screams of a producer much more senior than his 21 years. The remix will be released worldwide on January 27 via Interscope Records.
Having already taken on the formidable vocal power of stars including Jessie Ware and Ed Sheeran, it seems no task is too great for Alex Adair as he repeatedly turns out top track after top track. With ‘Make Me Feel Better’ rapidly approaching and debut booked in for March 13 at Brixton Electric, it already seems like the year Alex Adair makes his name.
