Alexis Tyrel - Imagine This Picture That EP

After announcing the Know It When You See It EP back in November, Gideon Hommes aka Alexis Tyrel is back with another EP titled Imagine This Picture That, on his own label Lessismore, and, as expected from the Dutch DJ and producer, this one doesn’t disappoint.

Rebecca Loos (The New Chapter Mix) is an emotional and energetic track that matches well-placed strings with luring, half-whispered vocals in the background, an invitation to the dance-floor that’s both tempting and slightly deceiving at the same time.

The mood shifts on the more luscious Original Mix, and as the track advances the same vocals reveal a new layer of ethereal bliss, through soft pads and disarming arpeggios. The Gui Borrato Remix comes to add a bit of extra spice to the release, and as the bass-lines start melting together with the overall playfulness of the original track, the vibe changes and the intensity of the emotions raises to a point where the line between energy and introspection blurs, and the same enticing vocals envelops the listener one last time.
