Indian Summer – Shiner (Remixes)

Breaking the States has long been a marker of success for bands; artists and singers but only recently has it become a reality for dance acts. With the boom of electronic music still in full flow and the trend heading progressively more leftfield, the ears of the audience has become more open to a multitude of sounds. Tastemaker favourites and diverse producers Indian Summer are a testament to this. Racking up 2 HypeM number 1’s with ‘Shiner’, exceeding 2 million plays on YouTube and with the support of the most influential blogs around they are rapidly joining the ranks of Australian talent that the US is eager to see make the trip across the globe. This November, Gabe Gleeson and Chevy Long will be doing just that as they can now reveal the stateside leg of their Shiner tour. Check below for full tour dates!

To celebrate this milestone in their career, the Indian Summer boys have also gifted fans a listen to the long awaited remix pack to their hit single. With fresh cuts coming from Mike Metro, Option4 and Akouo, Shiner’s brooding vibe complete with Ginger & The Ghost’s signature vocals takes on 3 distinct styles from each up and coming producer.  Stepping up to the plate with his typical rolling Denver bass and unmistakable ear for a dance floor hit, Option4 supplies the record with a 4×4 house beat and ingenious new chord progression to propel Shiner in to a deep house space where it resides perfectly. Implementing a parallel style but ruminating more so on the ominous tones of the original, Mike Metro ploughs in with a wavy synth line in support of Missy’s topline and a huge bass note to supply the heavy drop. Rounding things off with the class we know and love from his own productions, Akouo adds a superb edge to the track that smacks of a producer far beyond his young years. You can check and buy all of the tracks here now!

Only just off the back of an intense run of Australian shows and a hefty studio schedule, 2014 has provided little respite for Gabe and Chevy for which they have translated in to their most successful year to date. Honing every avenue of them as an act, the USA is set to enjoy the unique sensation they have kept to the Southern hemisphere for too long. Be sure to keep up to date across their socials for more updates.
