Detroit’s Soiree Records International return with a VA release entitled ‘Indigenous’ featuring four cuts from Drivetrain, Detune, G-Prod and Jace Syntax.
Established in 1990 by Derrick Thompson aka Drivetrain – Soiree Records International have built a reputation for itself as being one of the essential labels from the Motor City with nearly 30 years’ worth of releases to its name. ‘Indigenous’ sees Derrick invite Belgian producer Detune, R&S Records Artist G-Prod and Soma’s Jace Syntax back to the label for these four enticing, rhythmic club cuts.
Drivetrain’s ‘Alice’ kicks off proceedings with resounding kicks balanced with robust modulations and acid-led synth flutters before Detune follows with ‘Maple Fever’ deploying an ornamented shower of sumptuous pads, undulating deepness and alleviating melodies.
On the flip G-Prod’s ‘Motif’ throws down an infectious atmosphere fusing uplifting oscillations and alluring chord progression to give off an irresistible, elastic groove until ‘Hologram World’ by Jace Syntax submerses in a sea of luxurious strings, tribal rhythms and a merciless bass riff peppered with sweet melodic infection.
Various Artists ‘Indigenous’ drops on Soiree Records International on 24th June 2019.
