As he creates his exceptionally diverse music, Jerry Folk finds inspiration in artists such as James Blake, Sevdaliza, SBTRKT, Kaytranada and Flume. His latest offering is sure to be enjoyed by fans of PinkPantheress, James Blake, and Sam Gellaitry.
Inspired by early 2000s UK club music with a mix of hard-hitting drums and soft, sultry R&B vocals courtesy of Australian artist Chloe Kae, ‘Heart’ is a track that is both wistful and danceable – a potent combination. Expertly-spliced vocal samples are peppered throughout the track alongside Chloe Kae’s plaintively-sung lyrics, and a sweet synth winds its way around the song as the contrastingly gritty breakbeat drives the entire sonic experience into hypnosis.
