Innovative vocalist Katie Rose to release Michael Doiley EDM remixes of her single “Can U Feel It”

Described by The Guardian as a “fine singer” and “an eye (and ear) opener” by fRoots Magazine, Katie Rose, an innovative vocal artist, releases two mesmerizing remixes of “Can U Feel It,” masterfully produced by renowned EDM music producer and DJ Michael Doiley, at Spring Equinox: 21st March.
Katie Rose is not just an artist and singer-songwriter: she is also a powerhouse, multitasking musical maestro, wholly committed to making the magical benefits of singing accessible and inclusive. She has directed and arranged music for over 20 choirs, 5 London hospitals, and the mass choral event “Sing for Water London.” In her coaching practice, she supports beginners and established professionals in music, film, theatre, and TV to claim the magic, joy, and power of their voices and fulfil their creative missions.
International DJ and music producer Michael Doiley is on a mission is to wake up your spirit and get it dancing like it’s never danced before, whether through music, coaching, or teaching people how to meditate! He has played for Russell Crowe, Gordon Ramsay, Martin Scorsese, Victoria Beckham, Prince Albert of Monaco, Pamela Anderson, Kylie, Cheryl Cole, Will.i.am, and many others. He has featured on MTV, Fashion TV, OK! Magazine, and shared a bill with Billy Joel, Duran Duran, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Diana Ross, and The London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Originally written during lockdown as an acoustic track called “Go the Distance”, “Can U Feel It,” is an affirmation of the power of love to bridge any distance. Katie explains, “I wrote the original acoustic track during lockdown as an affirmation that connections continue even when we are separated – that love can go the distance. I invited my good friend Michael Doiley to attend the (very strange) socially distant launch of the album “Flame” in 2021 and was thrilled when he said he’d like to remix ‘Go the Distance.” With his production wizardry and sensitivity to the song’s original message, Michael indeed created two magical EDM remixes to help dancers and listeners feel the connective power of love.
Michael brings his unique touch to the remix single. He says: “As a producer, it’s my job to make sure all elements are blended as seamlessly as possible. Especially as this is essentially a multi-genre collaboration. This journey has been enlightening as much as it’s been fun, and the mix sounds fresh whenever I hear it, with Katie’s hypnotic vocals stealing the show every time. Love it.”
The single also features on Katie’s latest album, “Flame” (2021), which follows three previous albums and a track to accompany the award-winning film about the Dalai Lama, “Road to Peace” (2012).
Releasing “Can U Feel It,” on March 21st is no accident: the release date chimes in with the songs core message of love, hope, connection and renewal. After all, March 21st – the Spring Equinox – heralds spring, when day and night are actually ‘equalized’. Indeed, it is a turning point for new life, spring and for hope eternal… it is a beacon of light we can turn to and internalize to keep us strong in these tumultuous times.
