International Music Summit Launch Two Initiatives Supporting The Next Generation Of The Industry

International Music Summit (IMS) today announce IMS x Mixmag Visionaries 2018 and IMS Accelerator, two initiatives designed to support the next generation of industry innovators, influencers and disruptors.
 
Both Visionaries and Accelerator  provide successful applicants a platform for their ideas to be heard, industry mentoring and support plus opportunities to network and develop their career or business with the most creative and forward thinking figures in the electronic music industry.
 
Visionaries returns for its 5th year and in collaboration with leading dance music publication Mixmag aims to inspire and uncover emerging industry professionals who will challenge current thinking and present new ways of overcoming the most important and pressing issues facing electronic music today.
                                            
A new initiative, Accelerator aims to spotlight and support the next wave of innovative music business start-ups, giving a platform to be heard plus vital support and advice to help them build and achieve their long term objectives.
 
If you are passionate about electronic music, have an innovative idea and you dare to disrupt, submit your application online by the March 31 2018.
                                                                                         
Successful applicants will travel to Ibiza as an official IMS Ibiza delegate and present their ideas, for Visionaries via a keynote speech to electronic music’s most powerful and influential individuals, and for Accelerator direct to many of the industries leading organizations and investors. Successful applicants will receive one year free membership of the Association for Electronic Music (AFEM) as well as access to relevant AFEM board members for career development advice and introductions to strategic partners.
 
In addition to sharing their ideas in the print issue and online platforms of Mixmag, the winner of Visionaries will also receive a three month mentorship program led by Andreea Magdalina, founder ofSheSaid.So, internship opportunities at leading industry companies, tailored career coaching sessions matched from participating industry partners including AEI Group, AFEM, Berklee College of Music,Fuse, Neighbourhood PR, PRS for Music and Young Guns Network, plus a pair of Pioneer DJ HDJ-X10.
 
Previous Visionaries winners have included Valerie Lee, now West Coast Editor of Mixmag USA , Ben Bowler, Founder of Chew.tv, Inder Phull, Managing Director and founder of KRPT Group and Mich Mellard, CEO of Sync Sync.
