Bass music is getting a fresh new sound with Chela Omen’s debut single, ‘Rio.’ Featuring renowned dance vocalist Scrufizzer, this track is designed for summer dance floors with its explosive energy and innovative production.
UK-based Chela Omen, a 25-year-old producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist, has crafted an anthem filled with bubbling bass stabs, nostalgic house chords, and dynamic percussive breaks. ‘Rio’ builds with atmospheric synths and powerful kick drums, showcasing Chela’s unique sound design and Scrufizzer’s vibrant vocals.
Chela describes ‘Rio’ as a form of escapism. “I wanted listeners to feel the essence of summer and forget their worries,” he says. “Music has always been an escape for me. When I produced ‘Rio,’ life felt bleak, and that inspired the female vocal lyrics – a longing to get away. Scrufizzer’s playful response in the studio completed the track perfectly.”
‘Rio’ is just the beginning for Chela Omen. With a fresh blend of electric vocal hooks, dark soundscapes, and relentless breaks, Chela is set to bring new energy to the underground music scene.
