IOMA Releases First Single ‘Cleo’ Ahead Of Forthcoming EP

After a transformative five-year hiatus since his acclaimed remix of ’Sweet Disposition’ first hit the airwaves, Camille Luciani returns with a brand new project under his new sound profile, IOMA. Following the success of his innovative solar-powered livestream last year, which presented a track list of unreleased music that captivated over 400,000 viewers, IOMA now unveils the first cut, ‘Cleo’, in a series of upcoming singles which will form his debut EP, ‘VIRIDIS’.

‘Cleo,’ immediately immerses listeners in a gritty, industrial timbre that sets a powerful and intense tone for the offset. The richly dark soundscapes create a brooding atmosphere, seamlessly woven between haunting melodies that evoke a sense of mystery and depth. The hard-hitting percussion drives the track forward, while the melodic sequences add emotional complexity, making ‘Cleo’ a standout piece. This track is not just a listening experience but an emotional journey filled with depth and character that showcases IOMA’s ability to blend hard-edged sounds with evocative musical storytelling.

“Have you ever been consumed by a burning force driving you towards the barriers that confine you? ‘Cleo’ is a relentless surge of energy propelling you towards liberation. I wanted to blend nostalgic melodies with deep and rumbling rhythms to create an experience that is both hypnotic and introspective.”

Known for pushing boundaries in electronic music, IOMA’s return promises to redefine the genre with a fresh, evolved sound. Each release in ‘VIRIDIS’ showcases Luciani’s ability to weave intricate melodies and atmospheric textures, solidifying his status as a multifaceted force in the electronic music scene.

With releases on Steyoyoke Black, MOOD Records, and Renaissance Records, Camille has garnered worldwide acclaim for his authentic strain of melodic techno, and subsequently he has become a regular feature in the touring playlists of A-list DJs such as Pan-Pot, Dubfire, Paco Osuna, Joris Voorn, Sasha, John Digweed, and more. Favouring quality over quantity, Camille’s selective discography highlights only the most innovative cuts, with his 2024 comeback proving to be another special addition to his exceptional back-catalogue.
