Inspired by the legendary shores of European clubbing mecca Ibiza, and released via Big Beat / Atlantic Records on their Ignition: Amsterdam compilation, ‘Isla’ is the latest single to come from Australian twins Gemellini.
A thundering, tech-house beast that builds, grows and swells as the production crescendos bar by bar, ‘Isla’ is perfect, peak-time, Ibizan terrace delirium at its finest, sizing up nicely against other rising stars on the long player, including work from Misha K (‘Smilin’’), Jess Glynne x Madison Mars (‘Take Me Home’) and Victoria Monet x Roulsen (‘Malice in Wonderland’).
Building up their discography, which includes releases on Kryder’s Sosumi label, Marcus Schossow’s Code Red and again on Big Beat, the brothers from down under have steadily carved out an increasingly impressive reputation for quality production. Moving seamlessly between the worlds of progressive and tech, the pair’s ability to craft tight, streamlined lines and chugging, melodic elements has won them a raft of support from Gregor Salto, Fedde Le Grand, Kryder, Afrojack, Bingo Players, W&W, Hardwell, Promise Land, Eva Shaw, Deniz Koyu, Swanky Tunes, W&W, Marcus Schossow, Dada Life, Nari & Milani and more.
Gemellini ‘Isla’ / ‘Big-Beat Ignition: Amsterdam’ is out now on general release via Big Beat / Atlantic Records
