Issa’min is proud to present the official, and first widely available, release of Nash La Musica and Vox’s “Go Deeper”; a 2016 South African underground classic that foreshadowed current faves Fred Again and Channel Tres.
The backstory…
In 2016 South African vocalist and DJ Ndabezinhle Vox Mashinini slid into the WhatsApp DMs of fellow DJ, producer and musician Nash La Musica asking if Nash would be interested in using some vocal tracks he had recorded. Among the vocal files he sent was a standalone spoken word story Vox had recorded based on his real life DJing experiences in ’09 when a girl at a party kept on requesting that Vox “go deeper” with his music selections. Nash built up a track around this story and an instant deep house classic was born. The track first dropped back in 2016 via the Witbank music podcast and became a local underground favourite but never gained an official release due to the untimely death of Vox in 2017. Finally, in 2023, the rest of the world get to go deeper with Vox and Nash.
