After an impressive 2023, Neverdogs’ Bamboleo Records imprint says hello to 2024 in a big way with Moan Recordings frontmen Artslaves and their ‘Desire’ EP. ‘Desire’ kicks things off with rolling grooves, quirky synths, tonal fills, a juicy bassline melody, and a catchy vocal hook.
Hector Couto offers up his take on the title track, electing for pumping drums and swinging percussive drive to accompany massive sub-bass, cosmic pads, gritty synths and hip-shaking energy throughout.
‘Something’ rounds off the release in solid fashion, showcasing groove-focused underground goodies as Artslaves bring together more chunky beats and potent low-end elements alongside another display of quirky percussion, playful fills and ear-catching vocal constructions.
Artslaves’ ‘Desire’ EP is available from 19th January 2024 via Bamboleo Records.
