Ivan Baiun Announces Dual Residency at Sashatattooing Studios in San Francisco and Los Angeles

After leaving an indelible mark on the tattoo scenes of Tel Aviv, Berlin, Paris, and London, internationally celebrated tattoo artist Ivan Baiun—known professionally as Bayun Tattoos (@bayun.tattoos)—is making his highly anticipated U.S. debut with a dual residency at Sashatattooing’s California studios in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Beginning in early Summer, Ivan Baiun, better known as Bayun Tattoos, will join the artist roster at Sashatattooing Essential in San Francisco – one of the city’s most respected and creatively driven studios – and simultaneously become a resident at Sashatattooing Gallery, the brand’s sister location in Los Angeles. This marks Bayun’s first extended U.S. residency, giving collectors and enthusiasts on both coasts access to his unique, emotionally charged work.

Known for his bold reinterpretation of traditional Japanese tattooing, Bayun’s art blends the restrained elegance of classic forms with the raw intensity of red and black ink. His designs – often featuring mythological beasts, surreal figures and flowing compositions – have earned him not just international recognition, but a cult following across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

With over seven years of experience, Ivan Baiun has worked at Exodus Tattoo Studio and Vanta Tattoo Gallery in Tel Aviv, and has been a sought-after guest artist in elite studios including Inkustudioparis, Baron Noir Tattoo (Bordeaux), Auraninetyfour (London), and Der Grimm Tattoo (Berlin). He has also brought his striking designs to international stages like The Wild Claw Tattoo Convention in Belgium and the Israel Tattoo Convention in Tel Aviv.

In addition to his U.S. residency, Bayun is confirmed to appear at a number of major tattoo conventions across the United States in 2025 and 2026, including the Villain Arts Tattoo Festivals in cities like Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, and New Orleans—where he will also serve as a guest judge—as well as standout events like the New York Tattoo Convention, Orlando Tattoo Show, and Art Legends Tattoo Expo in Texas. Notably, he is also slated to judge at the Cincinnati Tattoo Convention in 2026, further solidifying his presence on the American tattoo circuit.

Both residencies are hosted and sponsored by Sashatattooing, an internationally acclaimed studio network known for its innovative design, technical precision, and artistic excellence.
